Subject: UK Fuel Grade

Just looking for some advice on the grade of fuel used. I have a 9K 2.3T which I have been running on regular unleaded for the last 4 months (since I bought the car) the handbook says that this is OK, but you can use anything up to 98 Octane. Have just filled up with super unleaded, and haven't noticed much difference, but did think the engine felt a little smoother, and I think that I am getting more MPG, but this could be my imagination. Does anyone else in the UK use Super? Does anyone else think its of any benefit? Any comments appreciated. Mike
