This is contrary to my experience and to everything I have read about
winter compound tires. Having just driven my Aero Wagon on glaze ice,
I can assure everyone that Hakkapeliita Qs work much better on it than
any summer tire would. Siped winter tires with microcell compounds
like the Blizzacks work especially well on glaze ice. ABS and ice
tires make relatively short work of icy roads.
BTW, please set the "line length", or whatever your newsreader calls
it, to a standard "70 characters" so your posts don't go off the edge
of the screen.
