Don't ever drive a Honda or Nissan. You'll hate your > Saab tranny for ever. This may be true for the NG Saab transmissions. I have a classic 900 and I just drove an Accord with a manual. The manual in the Accord did not feel quite right, it did not feel as smooth. Toyota has a smoother shifter, from my test drive of a Camry. The Classic 900 can be alittle difficult to put in 1st, especially if you coasted to the the stop in neutral. Reverse is not a problem if you put it in 3rd before you put in reverse. The biggest problem I have is finding car with manuals to test drive. Don't look on a Volvo dealer lot. Even with all of the Camrys and Accords, most dealers only have 2 or 3 sedans with manuals. > > > >I don't know if any aftermarket performance companies make a new shifter for > >the Saab > > You might want to drop by the Performance board out at www.saabnet.com > I seem to recall a company that was manufacturing short throw sticks > but it might have only been for the classic 900, I can't recall. > > Bob
