Why, I don't know. It seems to be one of those > inexplicable Saab things, like the famous key between the seats. ALL Saab's has ALWAYS only had telescoping, no tilting. If you want to move up/down compared to the steering wheel, you should do this by moving your seat up or down... Cheers!
