Hi everyone! I've always liked the look of the old 900, so having finally put together enough money to buy a fun old car just for leisure, I just bought one. I haven't had a car at all for five years, and I thought it was about time I got another. It'll mainly be used for medium-long weekend trips, rather than commuting/shopping. It's a 1988 900 Turbo 16S, with what looks like a Saab body-kit on it (colour-coded bumpers, etc.) It's got 129000 miles on the clock, the engine sounds good, and it rides very nicely. It certainly moves bloody fast when you put your foot down ;-) I don't actually know much about the car. I haven't seen many of them about. Are they rare? Was the bodykit standard? And -- did I get a good deal? I've only driven it 50 miles, so it's difficult to judge its condition and reliability. But -- it seems in very good condition for its years; it's got one tiny patch of rust over one of the rear wheel arches; it's got a full service history from main dealers or specialists, and the mileage adds up. It even came with what looks like most of the original tool kit, the original manual, and even (by the looks of it) some vintage pamphlets for optional extras ;-) I paid 2500 pounds from a dealer, plus 400 pounds for a two-year warranty on everything major including the turbo, with unlimited claims, each with an upper limit of 750 pounds...
