was only doing about 40 at the time on an unlimited road. it was dark and raining at the time technical question? what speed would i have to drive in darkness to be able to brake and stop to avoid hitting any object in front of me that comes into view? cant see further than the headlight let you see clearly so must be talking about a 40 metre (if that ?) area in front. 15mph? logical extension to this question is what speed should you go round a blind bend at? thats got to be even slower. like all things in life its risk/benefit analysis. and at least being in a saab you know you have an extra safety benefit on your side.
