Sorry, I disagree, and also have years of experience with this.
Simple research on any winter tire manufacturer's site will offer a
scientific answer.
Europeans have far more experience with this than we do, you don't see them
doing anything but buying quality winter rubber for their rides.
Also, offroading is a different world than winter driving on roads.
