My mechanic told me yet of this possibility, but as a speciality of the 9-5s. The wheels which are driven by the chain would be weaker than in elder models. Maybe SAAB changed the wheel-quality already in the 9000 series. Did You think, things are improving with the years? An advice to the SAAB - collegues: Watch out for the metal-powder in Your oil and change it as often as possible, at least after 5000 mls.
