Subject: 900i probs
Just got a '90 registered 900i took it for a test drive and all was fine but
(now that I've handed over the cash) it seems as the engine warms up it
starts to get a bit jumpy in lower ranges of gears, it falters slightly even
when idling. So I start off in first and it starts stuttering and jolting
until I get into the higher range, then second same in lower range, fine in
higher, same in third upto a cruising speed then its fine. This is only
occasional and generally when the engine is warmed. I have been informed the
water pump maybe on its way out as it wobbles very very slightly but was
told just to keep an eye on the temp - which I have and it sits comfortably
just over half way on the gauge.
Any ides anyone?
cheers, Gwil.
p.s. is the 1990 900i 16v?
