I've just had my 9000 'converted'.......... it went like this.......SAAB Dealer wanted me to take a mortage out....off I went to the 'independant' Air Con man.. He said, and I quote........ "So long as the system is fully drained and tested for leaks, I have not yet had a problem with just refilling with R134, once filled, check the system regularly, make sure it is working correctly, and all should be well" I did, It has, and to date (fingers and other sticky out bits crossed) all looks well. Total cost by the way was £140 Davey Walt Kienzle wrote: > Changing the connectors is not very expensive compared to other parts, or > the Freon itself, and is an important part of doing the changeover properly. > The new fittings are an indicator to anyone servicing the car later (along > with the sticker that is supposed to be put under the hood) that the system > now uses R134.
