You're wrong about mixing oils. All oils of all grades can be mixed without any problems, both mineral and synthetic. As it states on the Mobil 1 website "Mobil 1 with SuperSynT is fully compatible with conventional motor oils, semi-synthetic motor oils and other synthetic motor oils, should it be necessary to mix them. But the superior performance of Mobil 1 with SuperSynT will be reduced by diluting it". I however, do use Mobil 1 in my car.
