A simple reason: Tear and wear. Saab has some standards to which the components of the car (engine, gearbox a.s.o.) much live up to. What you do by the tune-up is pressing the components harder than Saab intented them to be. Not to many worries tho', Abbott seem to know what they're doing, so there should still be a margin to the "breaking point". :o) Also price is an issue. As mentioned, Saab would have to strengthen some parts, to have the car "deal with" the higher power (torque foremost), this will increase the price of the car. Btw! Saab does offer upgrades, their socalled "redbox", which increase the power slightly. And you'll still have Saab-warranty on the car. :o) Cheers!
