Right - and wrong. All wheels should wear the same make and quality of
tires. However, if you follow the advice above - putting the pair with
the best grip on the rear, your car will turn 180 degrees once it starts
skidding. Which shouldn't happen in the first place if you know the
first thing about handling a car in winter, of course;-)
In Norway all cars come with double set of tires, and winter tires are
in use from mid-October till mid-April in our country.
