Subject: Why 85 considered bad MY for US 900T?
Recently purchased a 91 900S, and am looking at a local 85 900T to
restore [(it seems to be a growing condition ;-)]
Have read several comments that 85 is a MY to avoid, citing
'electrical problems'. Some have been very pleased with their 85s
This was the first year the 16V 900T was brought to the US, after a
full or partial 1984 year run in Europe?
The APC unit is under the rear seat, and was quickly moved up front in
86. Have heard some comments about the wiring harness melting, but
unclear as to whether it was from a cracked cat heat shield or ??
Can anyone share any specifics, electrical probs or otherwise?
Thanks,
LM
