If the interior is velour, a good valet on all the fabric should remove most
of the long-term smells. You could try some "Odour Eater" shoe insoles under
the seats - the ones made of a kind of charcoal compound. What about
sticking some air-fresheners under the rear seat? It would no doubt permeate
the fabric and not smell quite so nasty.
If you're in the UK, the el-cheapo 50 UK pence "No Smoking" air freshener
discs on elastic string from Asda are very potent and smell good for around
6 weeks - even for us smokers :)
