If the interior is velour, a good valet on all the fabric should remove most of the long-term smells. You could try some "Odour Eater" shoe insoles under the seats - the ones made of a kind of charcoal compound. What about sticking some air-fresheners under the rear seat? It would no doubt permeate the fabric and not smell quite so nasty.
