"Hi, my car has a problem that has trashed my battery - can I borrow
yours to try the same thing please? What do you mean, no?"
Wouldn't it be better to charge up the existing battery, fix the problem,
and then move forward? Why wreck a friend's battery in the process? All
of the troubleshooting can still be done with the existing battery, even
in it's abused state. No reason to abuse another one to learn the same stuff.
