Well, the last symptom was something I had when one of my vacuum hoses came disconnected earlier on this year, and variable idle is also a vacuum hose symptom. So for a start, check all the hoses for proper connection. I'm told the problem is often cracks at the ends of the hoses where the rubber has perished a little. Haven't heard of a general "won't start from warm" problem, though. M -- "It's the small gaps between the rain that count, and learning how to live amongst them." -- Jeff Noon
