you are exactly the reason that i don't post here more often, your closed mind to others experiences and experimentation proves you to be a true saab snob. you are probably a dealer mechanic or something like them that believes the book to be rightious. i would like to know though just how long you have driven saabs and how many have you put over 100k miles on. i'm on number nine, yes nine, and all have been very used when i bought them. 5 have been drive in excess of 250k and one even made it to 372k. my personal experience is vast, as i do 95% of all the maintenance and repairs and i am very capable of diagnosing problems which frustrate most folks to the dealer idiot mechanics. so if you don't agree with my comments just don't post. if you find yourself in need of experienced input i am willing to help.
