Really? I can see maybe the old-style tensioner (pre-87 I think), but it's not unusual at all to have the chain last the lifetime of the car (300K miles and up isn't unusual). Where are people getting these self-destructing trannies and chains, and why aren't they asking about them here, I wonder?
