If you can find a good mechanic who will work with you on keeping the car in good shape at a reasonable cost, you're ahead of the game. Good cars do take time and money to maintain, but from what you say had to be fixed, it sounds like the dealer is ripping you off. I had a similar situation when I owned a Lincoln Mark VIII. It required twice a year transmission fluid changes -- at $200 each -- that no one else in town would touch -- except the dealer. Dealer found some major problem every time I went in. I knew I was getting ripped off but there wasn't anything I could do about it. I bought the Saab last May and have spent $1800 on it in repairs so far. But I feel that what was done was necessary and repaired problems I noticed. If he finds other problems, he'll tell me what they are, whether they need to be repaired right away or if they can wait, the costs and alternatives, and he fixes a lot of little stuff for free. I got a great deal on the car so I feel that what I've spent has been worth the money. I do love it. lauraknospamousergraphics.com http://www.madmousergraphics.com web design, print design, photography
