Mine did the same thing. I took out the central locking box, which is under the dash approximately in the middle, and found a cold solder joint after takingn it apart. I reheated a couple of cold joints and it has been working happily ever since. Be sure to use a clean 25-watt soldering iron, not a soldering gun- they are too hot and may damage something. I took out the kick panel and removed the box from the bottom. someone suggested that it could be removed from the passenger speaker panel. Check the Bentley manual. Charles.
