I just > had the hoses to the power steering replaced. It is not low on fluid. Assuming you have the right type/amount of fluid in there, it is indicative of sticking valves on the PS rack. You may be able to free up by flushing the system with clean fluid a few times, but if it's the original rack this may very well lead to leaks. Your best option is a rebuilt rack. Around here they are ~£140 (US$260). Not difficult to fit. -- Grunff
