Subject: engine swap 9000
hello there,
just after some help ive got a 95 saab griffin 9000 3.0i v6. I want to put
the engine in my 92 saab 9000 2 ltr lpt turbo, has anyone tried this. Is
the gear box the same as they are both autos, i presume i will also have
to change the engine management board (or may be not). The v6 has traction
controll and aircon, would it be possible to fit the air con mech and
re-gas system and not fit the tcs system if i dont fit the engine
management system it wont read it. Possibly also fit the exhaust down pipe
not sure if full system as the 2ltr has a specail made stainless cat back
system. What about thermstat readings and wiring or is the wires all
standard factory fitting ready to fit all models anything else to consider
could i get rid of the cat system or are the gas readings too high, please
help maybe some spares for sale soon
thanks,
mike.
