The 84 and 85 hatchbacks have a 10-inch wide (?) or so piece that you unlatch and lift from. The lock is embedded, and I think there might be a license plate light on the underside. Is this the piece you're wondering about. Otherwise the whole rear panel is flat black, with no other trim that I can think of off the top of my head. Mine always starts too, rain, sleet, snow, hail...well, not hail, we don't usually get that around here...;) -jw
