That's a pretty even-handed, well written article, even if it's a bit saad. Is this the same car that contributors here were recently lamenting as being "ugly"? Personally, as a long-time Saab owner, I would still consider a new 9-3, even though I recognize this is strictly a matter of personal preference, and does not stand up all that well to objective scrutiny. I think GM have not done all that bad a job of maintaining the Saab look and spirit through the more recent models - up to the newest ones (9-7 etc - the Japanese ones). Once these start showing up, all bets are off. GF
