Subject: 1997 900 SE turbo overheating
hi all,
am a newbie owner of a '97 900se turbo hatchback 5dr. Car's been
running fine so far but coupla days ago I noticed that coolant had
leaked. Found that coolant was leaking from the heater core box so cut
the coolant hoses leading to the heater core and joined the 2 lines
together using a connector. (Don't need the heater anyway......am in
Florida). Refilled the coolant but found that engine still overheating
although coolant level is upto the mark. Purged the system for a long
time till I got no bubbles coming out from the coolant tank. Cannot
figure out if its the thermostat or the coolant circulation. Please
help. Any input will be appreciated.
Thanks all,
Biki
