Located in Tampa Bay area. Shop is family owned and operated. (John Plankey

is owner) Has built and raced SAAB's. (John owns a very nice Sonett with a

16V engine in it!)  Works on and has parts for older SAABs, ie: 95, 96,

Sonetts, etc. as well as newer SAABs.  Not only do they work on SAAB's,

they also own SAAB's.  Good place to do business.

Here is Justin's description of his part time work. He does have a regular

day job:  I worked down in Palm Beach at the dealer there and an Indy, Saab

Shop for a few years after I graduated college in Ohio. I have been working

on them for nine years now, since I was 15....wow the time flies! Ive done

about everything for the c900/9k/9-3/9-5 as far as all general service,

preventive maintance, and any repairs (from the small belt changes, crankcase

vent updates, bushing replacements, brakes, shocks/struts, convertiable tops,

exhausts, SIDs, radios, key fobs, window regulators, turbo replacements,

diagnositic troubleshooting to larger transmission replacements, engine

replacements, headgaskets and so on). I also have done extensive performance

tuning to c900, 9k, T-5 and T-7 cars using Abbott Racing, Group 9, Swedish

Dynamics, and many other tuning parts. Am able to offer many local references

as well of current clients.

I do everything mobile so it eliminates all the need to coordinate logistics

in dropping a car off, picking it up, and getting rides to and from. I am also

able to come to your place of work, if that is better.

I have a load of tools from working down there, from older Saab Specilty tools

like a remote starter from the fuse box, to simple clutch rings. Also have a

Tech 2 updated to 2006 with the newest Saab diagnostic software, so I can take

care of any warning lights, top alignment, marrying and divorcing Sids/Radios/

ECUs, and customising any functions within the car.

Guy Fisk, formally with Massey Cadillic, Saab of Orlando for the past 7

years as the Saab service manager also formally parts and service director

of Bill Bryan Imports, Saab, Subaru, Hyundai, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia,

and Maserati; has served central Florida for the past 18 years. Guy has

partnered with Bob Harrison, Saab master technician, who has been with

Saab in central florida since 1978. Conveniently located in Winter Park

with State Auto Body and Garage, whose location has been a permament fixture

since 1946 when built new. Swedecentral, the newest automobile service

center in Winter Park, Florida services luxury import autombilies,

specializing in Saabs who deliver dealership quality but not at dealership

Jim Smeltzer is a Certified Master Technician w/a love of cars.

This is a family owned biz that really cares for its customers. When it

was impossible to find a Good mechanic in FL (being from NY) I was able

to find Jim he has worked on my 1997 900se vert and now works on my 2000

Viggen Vert MC Yellow of course.
