Alan Scott Auto Repair
Putney Road
Brattleboro
(802) 257-4939

I've known Alan for about 15 years -- he worked on an '84 Volvo
that I had, and now on my first two Saab 900 classics. Alan is an honest
businessman, a fine and kind father, and a first-rate (certified) Saab
and Volvo mechanic. He will also work occasionally on Toyotas, Hondas,
and Subarus. Alan picks up nice used Saabs, mostly late-model, at
auctions in Connecticut and re-sells them in Vermont, filling a local
need and keeping himself supplied with customers for his repair shop.
Rates are at parity with local mechanics. Don't BYO parts except by
special prior arrangement. Alan is friendly and accessible, cares about
his reputation, and will usually honor a normal mechanic's warranty for
his work, specific or implied. Usually closed Fridays during the winter.
Alan's shop telephone number is 802-257-4939.

You'll need to call for an appointment and directions - the

Barre - and it's worth finding Green Light Auto to get outstanding care
for your Saab. Tons of new and used parts, from engines to electrical,

experienced Saab tech Mike Enman provides knowledgeable cost-effective

Let just start by saying honesty, this shop is very honest, since
I found this shop on a dead end street, it’s been my only place to go, they
never charge list, always use oem parts, best selection of use and new
parts and equipment in the state, and a very experience mechanic name
mike, this shop has been in business for 12 years on a dead end street in
the middle of no where and has a great following, that should speak for
its self, if in Vermont u need to check them out.

If you're living in SW Vermont, Paul Dometsch is GOD !! Paul is a
self-diagnosed "obsessive-compulsive", and will NOT let you drive out his
garage with a perfectly fixed car, even if he has to give away parts for
that... His knowledge, dedication and kindness are really out of the
ordinary. And all that for the most reasonable price. How to be able to look
at a dealer straight in the eyes after such an experience ?? Definitely a
must stop in the area.

Saab Mecca
Rte. 12 South, Northfield Rd
Montpelier
(802) 223-0205
saabcustom@aim.com

Co-owned by Mark Lombard and Leon (never got his last name), two veteran
Saab mechanics in the Central Vermont region. They do honest work at very
fair prices, and are passionate about wrenching on Saabs. Naturally, they
both drive and restore 'em. And there are little plastic palm trees in the
shop, since you're in Mecca.

Brad is awesome, he does great work. My family has been getting our Saabs
worked on for over 10 years with nothing but praise for him. I own an NG900
and he is just as competent with the newer models as he is with the C900's.
Highly recommended and not far from Burlington.

This guy (Bradley Carpenter) does good work out of his own garage. He was a
former tech down at Crossway Saab in Montpelier before starting his own
business. Good credentials. Excellent work, I've been very impressed. Good
hourly rate as well.
