SAAB FOR 1996 -- Saab's popular family 5-door, the 900 SE, adds the Swedish
automaker's potent 2.0L turbocharged powerplant for spirited driving.
Combining high performance with utility is a Saab trademark that's
abundantly on-hand in the new 1996 Saab 900 SE Turbo 5-door. Now available
for all Saab 900 body styles, Saab's dual-cam, 16-valve 2.0L 4-cylinder
engine features an intercooled turbocharger and award-winning Trionic
engine management system. The 5-door's sporty Turbo package also includes 1
6-inch Z-rated tires mounted on "Viking Aero" three-spoke alloy wheels, a
rear spoiler and lowered ension. Other Saab powerplants available are a
smooth 1 70-hp, 2.5L V6 on the 900 SE 5-door and a 1 50-hp naturally
aspirated 2.3L 4-cylinder on the 900 S.
