SAAB FOR 1996-- Saab's aerodynamic Coupe body style dates back to the
Swedish automaker's first Saab 92 prototype, unveiled in 1947. Today's
Coupes continue the heritage. The 1996 Saab 900 SE Turbo Coupe is a
performance-bred sports car that also provides an unparalleled level of
utility. Open the rear hatch and fold the rear seats for a cavernous 49.8
cubic feet of cargo space. Accelerate and unleash a 1 85-hp 2.0L Turbo
4-cylinder with Saab Trionic engine management. Leather upholstery is
standard on the Saab 900 SE, with the addition of a leather shift knob and
boot for 1996. Also new is adjustable lumbar support for the driver's seat
and a full-width rear reflective panel that matches the color and pattern
of the taillights. A sporty rear spoiler is now standard on all Coupes,
including Saab's most affordable model, the 1 50-hp, 2.3L 4-cylinder Saab
900 S Coupe.
