I had mine installed although it took the dealer a month to figure out how to update the EHU software (luckily I was able to get the answer here). It does NOT give you steering wheel/dash control of the iPod and I am not aware of anyone claiming otherwise. You use the SRC button on the steering wheel to select AUX (cycles through CD - RADIO - AUX) and then you control everything else from the iPod.
I currently have my iPod connected to the AUX-in using a mini-RCA cable from the iPod's headphone jack. The volume level is marginal (it is suppose to improve if you use the dock connector) and the aux-in connector on the SAAB doesn't seem to "grab" the RCA cable as securely as I would like.
I am currently researching different connection (using the Dock connector) and mounting options - so far everything I have found has serious drawbacks (e.g. the Belkin dock connection kit includes a volume adjustment that distorts the music, but the Monster kit doesn't shut off the iPod when the vehicle is turned off). ProClipUSA has SAAB mounting kits but it is on the vents by the steering wheel which is not my first choice (especially since the AUX connection is in the center console). Currently, I am thinking of trying to find a generic floor-mounted cell phone holder that I can mount on the passenger-side of the center console.
