I suggest the SAAB

I have never driven a CTS, but I do own a 9-3SS Linear.
I suspect the SAAB would have an advantage in adverse weather, especially winter. I have been very surprised at the proficiency of my Linear in the snow. The traction control and stability control have been very impressive. I drove a Subaru AWD for ten years, believing everything else was inferior, but my 9-3 SS is damn good. Case in point. I was very involved in the local rally community and put Hakka's on my Subaru, (heck, I was driving a Suabru before most Rallyists could even spell the word,) but I am lazy now, and have been using the oem Pirellis on the SAAB with no problem what so ever. Even the wet/snow braking has been impressive.
I also suspect the SAAB would be cheaper to run. Certainly fuel mileage would be better, and I suspect maintenance would be less expensive. (Subjected opinion only. I have no proof.)
My opinion would be that the SAAB may be a better all rounded vehicle, with the CTS more suited to the targeted enthusiast's market. (But what do I know?)
