I completly agree with Jogn in saving the money. I had teh 60k service done and once I looked at the details of what they did, it was rediculous what they had charged for. I feel like I had $400 worth of checks and $200 worth of work. Half teh things you can do yourself and the ones you can't, order the parts and have them do the rest. As far as the mechanic posting being a loyal warranty customer or not is COMPLETELY wrong! Your money is greenier than anyone else's and you decide where it should be spent...period! Do not give them job security at $90/per hour labor rate. I'm sure you can take that extra $400 and spend it more wisely. I can get the list at what was perfermed and walk you thorough what you can do on your own and what you should leave up to the experts. And on a second note, kind of makes me uncomfortable to watch a Pontiac (GM) certified tech work on my car and he can't even find the oil drain... Happened last week to me... and I should pay the same $90 per hour for a Saab tech that is seeing his first Saab, well trained it seems. It was sad to see the real Saab techs be fired and Pontiac took over my dealership.
