Rusted brake parts in So. Cal...

2003 9-3SS with sport wheel/suspension pkg. and just turned 20k miles. Noticed rust and corrosion on brake calipers and lug nuts at around 12k miles, but dealer dismissed it as normal build up... not covered by warranty. Now they are really bad. I'm in So. California, no snow or salted roads, and car is garaged 3-4 nights a week. None of my other three previous Saabs, including 1980 900T with 237,000k never garaged, had this problem.
Funny that a car made in Sweden with all the new Technology and materials available is rusting in S. California. Dealer says they're aware of this, but Saab doesn't cover these parts on the rust warranty. I understand not covering pads and rotors as these are wear items, but the calipers and lug nuts? Dealer actually told me they have (sell) platic caps to cover the nuts, but won't replace the nuts - which are priced high. Had I known the nuts were prone to rust I might have bought the caps day 1, or treated the parts, but now to just cover the rusted one's is... idiotic.
What gives and what should I do?
Really disappointed in the quality of the 9-3SS, been in for service too many times, and most likely be looking at other cars after tax return comes... Sad because I like alot of things about the car, but can't deal with poor quality any longer.
