the '03+ 9-3 has little to no turbo lag, highest crash rating in its size class, 15k mi maintenance intervals, excellent handling, runs off of 87 octane, great insurance rates, highest MPG estimates in its class, etc. It has lost a little of the old SAAB feel, like the gummy shifter, rubbery steering, some acceleration, etc. But if you look at what was gained, its definately worth the tradeoff.
If you have the time, go check one out.
