The 2003 WIS shows it going to either a power antenna or an amplified
antenna.
The wire is to pin five of the GREY connector on the back of the radio.
WIS shows pulling the RH with a 4 pin method as with older Saabs.
Wire is black/white, smaller (.5mm equiv), going to connector H33-1 pin 24,
"beneath HL A-pillar". You will need to remove panel to left of petals to
get at that. Rear speakers also go through that GREY mass connector. Same
wire marking out the other side.
So that should be ok to get at, but perhaps not really easier. Depends where you are going to mount that satcon radio.
I think that the above will get you to where you need to be.
Make sure that power is off while working. A short of that wire might damage the RH as the current that the radio is fused for might be too much for whatever in the radio shuts that power on and off. You might install a small inline fuse as part of your install... can you find the amps that the unit requires?
The radio gets switched power on fuse 24 and unswitched on fuse 13. Fuse 13
will be the source of power for the satcom via the radio.
The SID tells the RH via the I bus how to dim its display, night vision etc. So no dimming power there.
The amp is triggered by a "trigger voltage" on pin 8 of the DIN connector. I did not see that the trigger voltage was defined as 12V or anything else.
