I had "somewhat" of a similar event which actually was linked to a TSB in which the service required indicator came on. It ran out of "days" rather than oil percentage.
My service manager simply reset the SID and I also then had the "98%" oil indication also. He advised me that based on his calculations that I needed to come back at about 13,000 miles . This was based on the percentage they had seen before reset.
I was concerned that I migth have a problem returning and asking for the service.
I returned right at 13,000 and the service was performed.I think about 30,000 would be good timing. I feel that if you explain the situation ,you should get service.
Actually when they changed my oil , I found that they did not reset the indicator so I "should" get a quicker change interval this next time.
