I posted this earlier on the General Buleetin Board and didn't get any answers. I'm glad to see this topic is being talked about over here. Any thoughts?
///---///
I'm new to the Saab world, but can't wait to get my car. I'm in the military so I have the option of going through the Military/Diplomatic Sales or the European delivery. Trying to go through Pentagon car sales, they want to charge me $520 to go pick up the car, however a few Saab owners I've talked to say "no way" they've never paid, even use the Mil/Dip sales. I contacted a dealer in the US who wrote me back with this...
"-U.S. Military Sales gives one a 13.5% discount off the MSRP and no
$2000 Travel Assistance, while the European Delivery Program has a 9%
discount (approximately) with the $2000 Travel Assistance. The net
discount is similar for both programs.
I am uncertain if you qualify for just one (Military), or both
(Military & European) delivery programs. This is another item I am to
discuss with my IDS representative."
Anybody have any thoughts or experiences with this issue?
