Was it instant on? Do you have laser detection? Does your V1 have Ka band? Maybe he did the time/distance check and clocked you that way. Maybe he didn't clock you at all.
The original V1 had K and X. Ka (along with F&R laser) was added later-I upgraded when that that version came out. Sold that detector on ebay and bought a new V1 in 2001.
It may be time for me to upgrade again, although the new version is not as compelling an upgrade as the last version was.
