I like the car a lot too. I now rev to 2500 rpm or so and that works quite well. I always wonder if an engine mated to a manual spinning at 2500 rpm uses more or less fuel than an engine with an automatic spinning the torque converter at say 2200 rpm. It will be interesting to see where the fuel economy averages out after the engine breaks in, compared to my 2.0 t 9-3 Linear automatic that I had.
I semi-raced a new V6 Maxima getting on the highway the other day and the 2.0 T pulled strong in 2nd and 3rd, but he probably would have beat me so I let him merge in front of me as his lane was ending. I'm sure he has newfound respect for Saab 4 cylinders and for hatch/wagons!
