I find that my '06 Aero convertible is incredibly tight, and while I've only had it for 4 months, so far I don't see any reason to worry. Downshifting to 2nd is a little notchy...that's about it. Oh, and the stereo is terrible.

Having come from a '00 Viggen (which was trouble free and never had any isues, except for bent wheels and the occasional tailgate rattle) and still owning a '03 9-5 Aero wagon (nothing, except for a subwoofer that wasn't wired properly, a temperamental sunroof switch and the odd plastic creak from time to time), my experience with Saabs has been excellent...very reliable and few problems...much better than my past Volvo or BMW 3 series even.

My parents have an '05 9-3 Aero in the UK and it seems well built too. It's far enough along in the model cycle that all the bugs should have been worked out.

And if you like a smooth, powerful engine, the new V6 is a real winner. Not great on gas around town, but 27-29 on the highway in my case...
