A few questions...

I have started looking for a used Saab 9-3 and have a few questions I was hoping someone could help me with. I'm sure some of these have been answered on here before, but I have no idea where they may be. My questions follow below:
1.) What is the difference between an Arc and a Linear? On what year models do these designations mean something?
2.) I have heard before that turbochargers need to be cooled down before a car is shut off and parked. I know this is the case with the Subaru Legacy GT and the Audi A4...If this isn't done the blades can warp. Do Saab turbos need to be cooled down before the engine is shut off? The dealer told me this isn't needed, but I wanted to check with people who own them.
Thanks for the help!
