Arcs vs Linear, the Arcs come standard with lots of stuff that's an upgrade for a Linear. Arcs all have wood inside, power seat(s), Arcs have the dual ACC, metal finish instrument bezels, Arcs have Infortainment radios with the little menu screen, Arcs always had 16" wheels. These features were availible on Linears as well, especially the first 2003 Launch Package Linears. There were also premium package Linears that were sorta' "faux" Arcs, lotsa' the upgrades, but always the 175hp 2.0t motor.
Many Linears are 15" wheels, manual seats, knobs for HVAC, never any wood, no metal finish intrument bezels and the radio with only 6 presets and no screen.
Heated seats/cold package is a stand alone option on all 9-3SS' as is a sunroof. Xenons, park assist, rain sensing wipers, memory drivers seat and mirrors were Arc upgrades. Some early launch package Linears had xenons too, after that only Arcs.
An early Arc likely has the 300W 13 speaker set-up, but that's not true for all and expecially convertibles.
Arcs also have the 2.0T 210hp motor whereas Linears have the 2.0t 175hp engine.
The 2006 2.0T model is Arc spec save for not having a power passenger seat standard.
