Convertible Top Remote Feature

Hi All,
I have an 04 Arc Convertible. One of the first features the dealer showed me was how the top opens when the unlock button on the remote is held down. A perfect way to get the top down as I walk to the car. A couple of months ago I took the car in for some recall work at a very new Saab dealership, which included fixing the remote (corrosion problem?) and adjusting the top (I had no problems, but apparently there was a software update). Since then, the remote no longer opens the top. I took the car to an older, experienced dealership. The service chief says my car never had that feature so it is not supposed to work. He says he ran the VIN, and my car shouldn't have that feature. He says he hooked it up to a computer and the feature was not available. Afterwards, I found my original sticker, which clearly lists that feature.
Last week I called Saab customer service, and after 10 days of them talking to both dealerships (and not returning my phonecalls), they tell me the original (inexperienced) dealer is willing to look at it and try to fix or replace the module. If not, Saab national will come up with some sort of compensation. Of course, I just want this cool feature to work.
Can anyone help? Is there somehting broken that can be fixed?
Thanks, Jeff in St. Louis
