My cure for dealer hearing loss: take a technician with you in the car. Every car I have dropped off at a dealer to cure a rattle or clunk comes back "not able to duplicate customer problem" until I take a technician with me. It gets fixed every time.

You probably know better where you need to be when the sound happens. Next time you hear it, no matter what Saab dealer you are near, stop and take a tech out with you and get it documented. Once a tech hears something, they will try to fix it. Not only will it be addressed, but you regain a little piece of your sanity.
