2003 Saab 9-3 Vector
Steel Grey
35454 Miles - auto transmission
I live in Los Angeles and more specifically the San Fernando Valley. To avoid the free traffic on the 101 and 405 freeways I cut through the Santa Monica Mountains as much as possible. Those familiar with the area know that it's very "hilly" with great curves. Awesome convertible/motorcycle/ sports car drive.
When driving up hill at a constant speed between 45-55 mph I hear/feel a vibration/hesitation through the car. It feel like the car is struggling to change gears. I push through it and the vibration/hesitation is gone. It never happens on a flat road or down hill... only up hill. Is this just a quirk in the car or could it be more serious? The dealership has already re-programmed the car and changed the transmission fluid and indicated not related to the TSB cross-contamination recall.
This is one of many issues I'm working out have been working on my "certified pre-owned saab". Since my purchase in May 2006 it's been in the shop almost as often as it has been in my driveway. I'm hoping once I work out all the kinks/issues (door rattles, cd player skipping, e-brake freeze, front console noises from stepper motor and air distribution, musty smell in the cabin) the previous owner did not I will eventually like the car... lol
