BSR PPC AND tire question for '06 Aero 'Vert

Hey all,
Now that people were talking a few days ago about the BSR PPC program swapper, I got the impression that people were generally impressed with the version for the australian V6 Turbo...
I've got an '06 Aero 'Vert with the V6 and six speed auto.
I'm curious...
-given the vert's chassis rigidity, can it handle the added torque?
-can the auto (Aisen?) transmission handle it?
-does torque steer become a significan issue again (as it used to with the Viggen)?
-what sort of impact does it have on gas milage (I'm currently getting a not so great 10-15mpg city and 25 highway.
..and hey, since you're reading this..
I really don't like the stock conti pro contact tires (225/45/17)... they're not very 'crisp' in turn-in/general road feel... anyone have a strong preference for a performance summer tire that would be a good replacement?
I've got a couple of SO3 poles with some tread left from the last 93ss but I think they're (stock sized) 215/45/17... could save some money and just get another pair in that size... does a difference that small matter? Anyone found anything new and less expensive they like for spirited street only driving?
Oh, btw, on the vert... if you put a 'harder' tire under it, does the added 'impact' force that gets passed on to the chassis de-stiffen it over time?
Thanks as always.
Earl
