I couldn't get the OEM Contis off my '06 Aero SC fast enough....I don't need all (NO) seasons, so I promptly replaced them with some REAL TIRES.
As I've posted numerous times before (both here and the 9-5 & NG900/9-3 forums as well)-the Eagle F1 GS-D3 is THE summer tire to buy for the Aero.
(and no, I don't work for Goodyear.... ;) )
I've had several sets of these awesome tires on my previous 9-5 and love 'em. My only caveat is that they do get loud at the end of their treadlife. Then again, all the sets of unidirectional tires I've had (Bridgestone S-02 PPs, Pirelli P7000s, Yoko AVS ES100s, etc) get loud at the end of their treadlife.
(Any) Michelins are overpriced, which is the reason I haven't tried the PS2s. Inasmuch as I'd like to try the new Conti SportContact 3s, they're more expensive than the F1s.
I would advise against trying to put on the 215 series S-03s on the '06 5-spoke rims. You'll be asking for bent rims before you know it. SAAB upsized the tire size from 225 to 235 and currently uses a 0.5in wider 17" wheel (now 7.5") to help prevent bent rims (? an issue in previous SAABs).
