1. Is human error at your dealership. Although annoying, it's not Saab's fault.

2. That's a legitimate problem. Has it come back since it was repaired? Was it a problem with the child safety latch being engaged?

3. All car makers have recalls, for various reasons. Mercedes, Honda, BMW, etc. Not much you can do about that. At least they're doing the right thing, and fixing it before it becomes a bigger problem.

4. Another legitimate problem. I remember when we first bought our '03 9-3, it was in the shop 3 times because of various SID error codes. Whatever they did on the third try, caused the problem to go away, and it's still ok to this day.

9-3's have extremely complex computer/electronic systems installed in them. Those systems monitor the car, and ensure that it's operating properly, keeping you safe, etc. 99% of the time, they work without problems. Every now and then they malfunction. Considering all that a 9-3's computer system does to keep us safe, I think it's worth it if there's an occasional malfunction.

All cars need to have oil changed, so that's not Saab's fault. Heck, I'm happy that our 9-3 doesn't need oil service as often as my sister's Honda. She drives a lot, and ends up taking her car in for an oil change every 6 weeks.

You have the safest (and one of the most unique) cars on the road, for less than $30,000. All things consiered, it's worth it to put up with the occasional problem, in my opinion.
