never been able to deal on a lease buyout in spite of so many people saying they can. Why not try to sell it before the lease is up? You can get someone to give you the buyout price, maybe more; still under warranty so they can get the rattles, etc fixed. If you buy it and the car is making noise, go to the dealer and take a tech or service advisor with you until you hear the noise together; that has always worked for me.

We just sold our BMW X3 in advance of the lease expiration and we made $2000 after the payoff...it's worth a try.
